The Huchuy Qosco, meaning "Little Cusco" served as an inka palace, and is a little visited, but very interesting archealogical site.

It takes around 2 hours until we reach Lamay on the Vilcanota River. Here we can sample real Peruvian food from a traditional "picanteria". Try the andean speciality "cuy al horno" - baked guinea pig. Trust us, it tastes better than it looks! For around two hours, one of our passionate guides will show you around the city of Machu Picchu and talk about its fascinating history and significance. After the tour you have time to explore Machu Picchu at your own leisure before returning to Aguas Calientes by bus.
